Step 2: Enter Your Username and Password
Type the username you created during enrolment into the username field. Usernames are case-sensitive and typically 6-20 characters. Next, enter your password. C&F Bank requires passwords of at least 10 characters including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character (such as !, @, #, $ or %).
Use a unique password that you do not reuse on any other website or service. A password manager is strongly recommended. If you suspect your password has been compromised, change it immediately through the account settings menu after login, or call 804-843-2360.
Step 3: Complete Multi-Factor Authentication
After submitting your username and password, C&F Bank will prompt you for a second verification factor. Choose from three options: an SMS one-time code sent to your registered mobile number, an email verification code sent to your registered email address, or a six-digit time-based code from your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or similar).
Enter the code within 60 seconds of generation. If the code expires, request a new one. Multi-factor authentication is required on every login — there is no option to skip or remember devices. This is by design: it ensures that even if your password is stolen, your account remains protected.
